Its that time again..

2020 In review

Right when we thought we had seen our biggest challenges to date with the past flooding and threat of another flood this spring we were wrong. This proved to be the most challenging year that we have seen in the marine industry.

With the threat of not being able to open in time for the boating season and the weather getting warmer it was a very tense spring to say the least. We were incredibly fortunate to be able to resume operations under strict conditions just in time to enjoy a full boat season.

We genuinely cannot thank our staff and customers enough for your patience and cooperation through these challenging times. Despite the social distancing and other conditions that would have normally hampered any boaters season, everyone made the best of their season with little to no complaints.

This was our sixth full season in operation and this will be one of the most memorable to date.  Not for the events, not for the weather but our boaters showing their true boating spirit, coming together as a family to make this season possible.

As we all know it was a late start and the Boaters Lounge was delayed in opening. Ultimately we did enjoy a couple of events and the boaters lounge eventually provided an amazing spot for our customers to relax and enjoy the view.

Speaking of  new additions the West Basin was also a huge success, we were  at 60% capacity our first year and already taking reservations for new boats next year. We were a little late getting everything complete but the new docks, boardwalk and fence have provided another amazing private area to enjoy the Bay of Quinte.

If there is one thing we have all learned over the last few months is things can change pretty quickly and we really are not certain what the near future brings. What we do know is that  there will never be a better place to enjoy time with our loved ones than on the water and that boating is not going anywhere!

We sincerely look forward to seeing everyone again next season. Thank you once again from all the staff at Crate’s.

2020/21 Winter Storage

Due to the high demand for winter storage this year we have rearranged the yard and the fence line has been moved to allow for more boats. We have more storage booked this year than years previous at this time so timing is going to be imperative on getting your haul out forms back to get your spot secured.

Although we hope to see lots of good boating weather in the coming weeks its evident the weather has turned quickly and the water is dropping. We recommend visiting our downloads page to download our 2020 Haul out form or click here for the direct link. If you have Microsoft Excel you are able to fill this form on the computer and email back.

We will require this form with your credit card information in order to create a work order and place you on the haul out schedule. If you already have a credit card on file you can skip that section.

If you  have trouble with the Excel file or don’t have Excel please click here for the printable PDF version.

2021 Slip Renewal

It has never been more important than this renewal season to be prompt in renewing your slip, with a flood of new boaters this year and people being more prepared than ever before.

We have also rented more slips for next season than ever before for this time of year to brand new boaters.  We are shaping up to be virtually full if we take into consideration our current slip customers so please don’t wait until spring as we cannot guarantee your spot.

There will be NO price increase for the 2021 boating season and our agreement with the Ramada Hotel pool should resume as long as the government restrictions allow.

We will be sending out automatic renewals via email in the coming weeks, if you prefer to fill out the form in person please feel free to stop in and see us in the office.

If you have any questions feel free to speak with one of our staff members today! Click here to download our 2021 lease form to take advantage today.
